Wolfner Special Collections
Welcome to part of the Wolfner Library collection that you may not have known existed! WODs are books on tape that were originally produced by a library for the blind and physically handicapped in another state. At some point, Wolfner Library borrowed these books from other libraries, most likely as interlibrary loan requests on behalf of patrons. Because we are allowed to duplicate these borrowed books, our collection grows with each interlibrary loan request. These duplicated books on tape are given the code WOD, similar to the RC code you are used to seeing on our recorded books.
The collection of WODs has become large enough to warrant creating a catalog of the titles for our patrons. This catalog is another way to introduce patrons to all of the books on tape Wolfner Library has to offer. To order any of these WOD titles, contact the library by e-mail, mail or phone. You may also request these titles online at http://wolfpac.sos.mo.gov/klasweb/. Extra copies of this catalog, either individual chapters or the catalog as a whole, are available in braille, large print, or cassette formats.
