Youth, Adult, and Targeted Populations Services

Adult Services

“Savvy Senior Health” is a four hour hands-on class for library staff that work with older adults. This class will offer a general overview of health literacy, a review of good consumer health websites for seniors, tips on program planning for your library, and collaborative, creative thinking through World Café.

 

Targeted Populations

Spanish Speakers

“¿No Comprende?” is a four hour hands-on class that will help library staff learn basic, library, medical, and Internet terminology in Spanish, as well as tips for the evaluation and identification of reliable health websites in Spanish.

 

Youth Services

The youth services specialist plans regional and statewide conferences and workshops, coordinates development of materials for the summer library program, and consults with individual libraries and special committees to plan service improvements.
