Born August 9, 1942, in Sedalia, Sidney Johnson served as a Democrat in the Missouri Senate (1991-2003) from northwestern Missouri (District 34).

Scope and Content
Subject files cover a variety of legislative issues from 1992-2001 and include articles, clippings, and correspondence to and from constituents and other legislators. Those subjects relating to specific legislation may include copies of bills, amendments, and fiscal notes. Substantial information can be found on small farms, sheltered workshops for the disabled, and the flood of 1993, the last primarily relating to disaster assistance and rebuilding levees in northwestern Missouri. Records from the Interim Committee on Fair Farm Policy include testimony and minutes from public meetings held in Clinton and Sikeston in the summer of 1995, mostly concerning waste from hog production.
